Carolina Panthers Atlanta Sport reviews
Just Meh
My family and I are big Panther fans. We missed Fan Fest last year after the big Ticketmaster crash and scalper fiasco, so were excited to be able to get some tickets. The weather was perfect, except for the threat of thundershowers later in the day. But that is to be expected in Summer in the South.
Once we got through the gates and found our seat, we settled in to watch practice. What we got was a lot of the players standing around doing a lot of nothing. I understand that they whole team doesn't work on the same drills at the same time, but there was very little interaction with the fans and very little was being done to describe what we were seeing or announce catches, etc. It was frustrating and sadly, boring, to say the least. We ended up only staying an hour. We could have went to a practice at Wofford for free.
In addition, numerous other fans took it upon themselves to just sit where ever they felt like it. Three times I observed ticket holders having to tell other people to move out of their purchased seats. Twice it ended up that those in the right section just sat in someone else's seats. Yes, sitting way at the top sucks and requires climbing a lot of stairs. But if you aren't physically capable and/or willing to make that climb, don't buy those seats. It causes undue problems for all involved.
I honestly don't think we will be attending another Fan Fest. I would rather just spend a little more and go to an actual game.
Panther Fan Fest
In the past, Fan Fest was held during the afternoon. A few years ago it was moved to evening. What a difference!
Not only do you get to watch your favorite team scrimmage at a much cooler time of day, at the end of the program there is an incredible firework and laser light show.
Fun for the family. From our seats it looked like about a third of the fans were children.
The honorary 'Make a Wish' team member always makes a touch down. (His/her picture is on the roster).
Remember, the tickets (currently $5 per seat) go on sale a few weeks before the event. Get them quickly. The proceeds go to various charities.
I recommend this event to all of my friends.
Amazing evening
This was part of our twins 13th birthday present. We are big Panther fans and this is a really fun night to see the team and see our favorite players as well as some of the new talent. We got a great big surprise from the Team Owner David Tepper who came by to talk with us and take pictures with the twins. What a great down to earth guy who made my twins night by spending a few minutes of his time. I would recommend this for any fan. Additionally the fireworks and laser show is worth the price of admission all on their own.
Nice Facility
Overall, BoA stadium is a nice facility!
It’s not the biggest or the most flashy, but it’s nicer than I expected considering it’s age.
I have more positive things to say about it than negative, but here’s the negatives:
I had looked forward to being able to order my food on my phone and going to pick it up. But the Panthers app wouldn’t load anything throughout the entire game, so I couldn’t mobile order anything. I spent a significant amount of time waiting in line, especially at the soda fountain during halftime.
The staff were not friendly overall, as there was one older lady who worked at the bar behind section 508 that rudely called people over to her register and never said a word when greeted or thanked.
They could definitely use more escalators, as the trek up the ramp to the upper deck is quite a hike, and the line for the escalator is very long after the game.
The beer man only came to our section once and I never saw him again, with such long lines and so many people it would have been nice to have seen him come around more than just once. I would have bought more beer, but chose not to fight the crowd to do it and lose time watching the game.
Other than those things, the stadium was a good experience and we enjoyed our visit.
